White Wednesday French Antiques Obsession...

I am obsessed with chairs.... I have been looking at my current inventory, and I must be chair crazy... I have currently have a large inventory of chairs and settees, and guess what I have been obsessing about buying, another sofa and chair.
I have to tell you, when I find a beautiful piece, that is in beautiful original condition, and nice upholstry, I will never pass it up. I just purchased this fabulous antique French Bergere chair, and ottoman.

These pretty little night stands are a great deal, I will be bringing these into Country Roads sometime this week, if I can find the room....
I also just brought in this gorgeous leather bombe chest. The leather is all distressed, the patina is perfect on this piece. (see below)

This Roses Mirror Vanity Tray is so beautiful, I've never seen one quite like this with the rose details.

Below is another chair I found, that has great patina, and I thought the  pink velvet was very sweet, and the upholstry is very clean... Perfect for  a little girls bedroom, or a big girls room. Very comfortable the way the back hugs you....(at fullbloomcottage.com)

This armoire, I think is so spectacular... Almost 9ft tall, this has the best rose swags carvings, not to many of armoires like this one. (Im at Country Roads)

  4. You have some BEAUTIFUL pieces there. What IS it about chairs? I have a love affair with them too. I have way too many chairs right now...oh-yes-I-do...but I am attached to them and hate to part with ANY of them. It's a sickness, isn't it? It surely is!

It's a good thing I don't live close enough to visit your shop....that would be bad for ME--good for YOU but bad for ME! Hugs-Diana

  6. Great post with beautiful pictures. We had a couple looking at your armoire over the week-end. They really wanted it but it was a few inches to high. Her husband was talking about ways to make just an inch or so shorter! Hope they come back.

    Take care, Sue

  11. The Bergere chair is beautiful. The bergere is beautiful. You have done an amazing. I spent many months researching different companies that sell a french style upholstered bed. I finally made the decision to go ahead and buy the Chelsea upholstered bed. Extremely pleased with my decision. Below is a link to the product page. Good-luck with your upholstered bed shopping.
